Flow

A closer look at the story

By nature, the cat is a creature that likes to live alone. One day, however, a great flood sweeps away everything it knows; its home disappears beneath the water and the world suddenly becomes unrecognisable. Struggling to survive, the cat finally finds refuge on a boat. It is not alone there, though: many animals of different species have clung to the same shelter. To cope with the challenges of a changed world, these utterly dissimilar passengers must set their differences aside and work together. As the water keeps rising, the cat will learn that solitude can give way to trust and solidarity. Directed by Gints Zilbalodis and written by Zilbalodis with Matīss Kaža, this 85-minute 2024 Latvian-Belgian-French animation is a family adventure.
