Therapy Done Right

A closer look at the story

Therapy Done Right is a sharp Argentine dark comedy that takes an unusual look at therapy. At its centre is a psychoanalyst who has lost faith in his profession. Convinced that the traditional methods he has practised for years no longer work, he meets a new patient: a novelist who is completely blocked and unable to write. To help this writer, the analyst decides to throw the usual rules out of the window. That decision, however, leads him to cross every boundary there is. As the line between therapist and patient grows increasingly blurred, their relationship becomes both funny and unsettling. Directed by Hernán Goldfrid from a screenplay by Emanuel Diez, this 97-minute 2026 Argentine dark comedy stars Ricardo Darín, Diego Peretti and Inés Efrón.
