The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson

A closer look at the story

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, a late-night talk programme, was presented by Scottish-born American comedian Craig Ferguson. Following Tom Snyder and Craig Kilborn, Ferguson became the Late Late Show's third permanent presenter. The programme followed David Letterman's Late Show on CBS each night and was recorded in Los Angeles, at CBS Television City, before a live studio audience. It was produced jointly by Worldwide Pants, David Letterman's production company, and CBS Television Studios. Although most episodes were devoted to comedy, Ferguson sometimes turned to much heavier subjects; he spoke openly on the show about the deaths of his mother and father, for example. He also took on serious conversations, such as his interview with Desmond Tutu. Stars such as Kristen Bell and Rashida Jones were among the show's guests. Launched on CBS in 2005, the programme came to an end after 11 seasons and 2,057 episodes.
