A closer look at the story

During the Battle of the Bulge, one of the fiercest clashes of the Second World War, a wounded American soldier finds himself behind German lines. Cut off from his unit, alone and constantly at risk of capture, he faces a solitary fight for survival. His resources are extremely limited: sharp instincts, skills in spycraft and a hand radio. Relying on these three things, the soldier tries to slip past enemy troops, avoid being caught and eventually find a way back to his unit. His tense journey through enemy territory becomes a survival story that puts his courage and composure to the test. Directed by Rod Lurie, who co-wrote the film with Marc Frydman, this 102-minute 2026 war film stars Scott Eastwood, Colin Hanks, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Taylor John Smith.
