Kung Fu Soccer

A closer look at the story

Emei's women's football team is written off by everyone as a losing side before playing a single game. Nobody expects anything of them, but the players sign up for the prestigious Supreme Invincible Cup intent on proving its doubters wrong. Their greatest weapon on the field is an unusual one: they combine their mastery of martial arts with their footballing ability. Guided by mentor Xu Feng, captain Shuangshuang and leading goalscorer Yulong, the players set out on a thrilling road to victory with this one-of-a-kind style. The path is anything but easy; the difficulties grow with every match, and obstacles that look almost insurmountable stand in their way. Even so, the Emei team refuses to give up the fight to prove itself and make its championship dream come true. Directed by Stephen Chow, who wrote the film with Hunny Ho, this 106-minute 2026 action comedy stars Zhang Xiaofei, Dilraba Dilmurat, Zhang Yixing and Carina Lau.
