A closer look at the story

Zion, humanity's final refuge, faces an enormous invasion by the machines. While the city's defenders throw everything they have against the countless machines at their gates, Neo seeks to bring the war to a close on an entirely different front. Meanwhile Agent Smith, now beyond anyone's control, has grown into an ever larger threat that Neo must also confront. The fate of the war between humans and machines will be settled on two fronts at once. The Wachowskis wrote and directed this 129-minute 2003 film, which brings Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Laurence Fishburne and Hugo Weaving together again for more cyberpunk action.
