Lost

A closer look at the story

Oceanic flight 815 from Sydney to Los Angeles goes down over the ocean, and the survivors find themselves on a large island. Having lost everything, these strangers must band together to stay alive in a place that at first looks like an ordinary tropical island. Castaways such as Jack, Kate, Locke, Sawyer and Hurley search for a way off the island or a way to contact the outside world, while coming face to face with the secrets the island keeps: the "Others" who emerge from the depths of the jungle, a mysterious black smoke and abandoned structures are just a few of them. Created by J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof and Jeffrey Lieber, the show premiered on ABC in 2004 and wrapped up after 6 seasons comprising 118 episodes; Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly and Terry O'Quinn star in this mystery-filled adventure drama.
