Batman: Knightfall Part 1: Knightfall

A closer look at the story

Arkham Asylum, home to Gotham City's most dangerous criminals, lies in ruins. In the aftermath of its destruction, every inmate inside has been set loose on the city's streets, and Gotham is suddenly gripped by chaos and fear. Batman throws himself into a frantic effort to bring this lethal crowd back under control. Hunting down his greatest foes one after another, the Dark Knight grows more exhausted with every passing day, his body and mind strained to the very limit of what they can withstand. Just as he reaches the brink of collapse, a completely different threat emerges: the man known as Bane. Batman is drawn towards an unavoidable final showdown with this new adversary, one that will be the hardest test yet of both his physical strength and his will. Directed by Jeff Wamester and written by Jeremy Adams, this 79-minute 2026 animated film features Anson Mount as Batman and Michael Mando as Bane, with Pablo Schreiber also in the voice cast.
