RuPaul's Drag Race

A closer look at the story

RuPaul's Drag Race is a drag competition presided over by RuPaul, the most famous drag queen on the planet. On the show, America's most talented drag queens battle fiercely to become stars of the drag world. RuPaul is far more than the host here, serving also as a mentor who guides the contestants and a judge who assesses their performances. In every episode, the queens face different challenges that call on them to show off their creativity and talent. Dressed in dazzling drag, RuPaul heads the judging panel and has the final say on every verdict and elimination, while also helping the competitors get ready for each task. Figures such as Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Mathews also sit on the panel. Created by RuPaul, Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, the programme has aired since 2009 on channels including Logo, VH1 and MTV.
