S.W.A.T.

A closer look at the story

A Los Angeles police sergeant is given command of a highly skilled, elite S.W.A.T. unit in the very area where he grew up. His job is not only to lead dangerous operations but also to defuse the deadly tensions building up in the city. That role, however, leaves him caught between two worlds. On one side is his bond with the streets he grew up on, where the police are sometimes regarded as the enemy; on the other, the loyalty he feels towards his fellow officers. As the sergeant works to keep a strategic balance between the two, he looks for ways to protect both his team and the community. Every operation tests that balance once again. Created by Shawn Ryan and Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and airing on CBS from 2017 for eight seasons and 163 episodes, this action police drama stars Shemar Moore, Jay Harrington and David Lim.
