Shark Tale

A closer look at the story

Oscar is a little fish with big dreams, dreams that often land him in trouble. A small lie he tells in pursuit of fame quickly spirals out of control. Meanwhile Lenny, son of the mafia boss shark Don Lino, has a secret no sea creature would ever guess: he is a vegetarian. When the two of them spread the story that Oscar killed a shark, Oscar becomes the hero of the reef overnight while Lenny turns into an outcast, and an unlikely friendship begins between them. But the lie also sets the vengeful Don Lino and his gang on Oscar's trail. Directed by Bibo Bergeron, Vicky Jenson and Rob Letterman, this 90-minute 2004 animation, with the voices of Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Renée Zellweger and Jack Black, is an undersea comedy.
