F1: A retired legend returns to the track
A closer look at the story
Sonny Hayes was once a racing legend whose name commanded respect, but he has long been away from the track, living in retirement. One day an offer changes everything: a Formula 1 team that is going through tough times and fighting for results invites him back behind the wheel. Persuaded to return, Sonny will not only carry the team on his shoulders but also act as a mentor to a young, ambitious and gifted driver. For Sonny, who wants both to turn around the team's fortunes and to reach for victory one more time at the end of his career, this comeback is his last big chance. Directed by Joseph Kosinski and written by Ehren Kruger, the 156-minute 2025 film stars Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon in a sports action drama.
