The Lost City
The Lost City: An author dropped into her own adventure
A closer look at the story
Reclusive writer Loretta Sage is known for her popular adventure novels set in exotic lands, whose covers feature the handsome model Alan. When Loretta sets out on a promotional tour for her new book with Alan, something she never expected happens: she is abducted by an eccentric billionaire. He has just one aim: to use Loretta to reach the treasure of the ancient lost city she described in her latest novel. Meanwhile, Alan rushes to rescue her, eager to show he is more than a cover model and can be a real-life hero. Swept into an epic adventure deep in the jungle, the mismatched pair must work together to survive and to find the treasure before it vanishes for good. Directed by Aaron Nee and Adam Nee, the 112-minute 2022 film stars Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe and Brad Pitt in an adventure comedy.
