Runner

A closer look at the story

Hank is an ex-soldier, and the job he is handed seems simple enough at first: get a vital organ that could save a sick young girl to the hospital in time. As soon as the journey begins, though, things spiral out of control. A brutal cartel determined to seize his precious cargo targets Hank and the mismatched partner travelling with him. An ordinary delivery quickly turns into a lethal pursuit. Each wrong turn, each hold-up and each gunshot drags the pair nearer to defeat. On top of that, treachery lurks on all sides, and knowing whom to trust becomes harder and harder. Racing against the clock, Hank and his partner must do everything in their power both to make it out of this relentless chase alive and to hand over the organ that will save the girl's life while there is still time. Directed by Scott Waugh and written by Tommy White and Miles Hubley, this 97-minute 2026 action comedy stars Alan Ritchson, Owen Wilson and Rodrigo Santoro.
