Who's the Murderer

A closer look at the story

Who's the Murderer is a Chinese programme that combines murder mystery with a reality format. Every episode opens by presenting the cast with the location and suspects of an invented murder. The celebrity cast members then choose the roles they will play during the episode: some take on the part of one of the suspects, while one becomes the detective. Each episode thus turns into an interactive game in which participants both act and try to solve a genuine puzzle. While the suspects defend their own stories, the detective works through the evidence to unmask the killer. Names such as He Jiong, Yang Rong, Wei Daxun, Pu Yixing and Liu Haoran have appeared in the cast. Created by He Chen and Yan Ji, the programme has aired on Mango TV since 2016.
