The Batman
The Batman: Following the Riddler's clues
A closer look at the story
Batman is still in only his second year as a crime-fighter. When a sadistic serial killer calling himself the Riddler begins targeting Gotham City, Batman starts following the trail he leaves behind. The deeper the investigation goes, however, the clearer it becomes that he is up against not just a killer but a web of corruption reaching into every corner of the city, and its threads lead all the way back to Bruce Wayne's own family. As he tries to stop the Riddler, Batman must also confront disturbing truths about his past. Directed by Matt Reeves, who wrote it with Peter Craig, the 177-minute 2022 film stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell and Paul Dano in a dark detective thriller.
