A closer look at the story

Marfil is the daughter of a powerful, well-connected Spanish businessman and lives in New York. One day, though, everything changes: she is abducted and, shortly afterwards, let go without any explanation. The frightening ordeal turns Marfil's world on its head. Worried about his daughter's safety, her father hires a bodyguard named Sebastian Moore to protect her. From now on, Marfil and Sebastian have to spend every minute of the day together. A closeness born of necessity gradually becomes a powerful attraction that neither of them can resist. Yet in the world around them, nothing is what it appears to be. Based on a Mercedes Ron novel and directed by Óscar Pedraza and scripted by Sofía Cuenca, this 104-minute 2026 Spanish romantic thriller stars Ester Expósito as Marfil and Hugo Diego Garcia as Sebastian.
