The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

A closer look at the story

After the Quarter Quell, Katniss Everdeen ends up in District 13's secret stronghold. Under President Coin, the uprising against the Capitol is gaining strength there, and the resistance needs Katniss as its symbol of hope. Trying to shoulder that heavy burden, Katniss has to find her way through fragile alliances while protecting the people she loves, above all Peeta, who is in the Capitol's hands. As the propaganda war intensifies, Panem slides towards all-out war and Katniss confronts the true price of revolution. Directed by Francis Lawrence and written by Danny Strong and Peter Craig, the 123-minute 2014 film brings back Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth in a dystopian drama.
