Men on a Mission
Men on a Mission: A high school class of celebrities
Original title: 아는 형님
A closer look at the story
Men on a Mission is a much-loved Korean entertainment show. On the programme, a group of male celebrities play make-believe as students in a high school class. Every week a new "transfer student" arrives at this imaginary school, and these newcomers are the celebrity guests of the episode. Between the guests and the class regulars, there are witty exchanges, laugh-filled games and plenty of slapstick moments. Mixing clever wordplay with silly gags, this setting makes every episode unpredictable and entertaining. Names such as Kang Ho-dong, Lee Su-geun, Kim Hee-chul, Min Kyung-hoon and Kim Young-cheol are among the familiar faces in the classroom. Airing on JTBC since 2015, the programme is one of Korea's long-running variety shows.
