American Pie

A closer look at the story

Four close friends in their final year of high school painfully discover at a party that they are nowhere near as experienced with girls as they had thought. Convinced they have to solve this "problem" before college, the four make an ambitious pact to motivate themselves: by the senior prom, every one of them will have reached his goal. But when love, shyness and clumsiness combine, nothing goes according to plan, and each of them suffers unforgettably embarrassing moments along the way. Directed by Paul Weitz and written by Adam Herz, the 95-minute 1999 film stars Jason Biggs, Chris Klein, Alyson Hannigan and Shannon Elizabeth in a raunchy teen comedy.
