Three decades have passed since the events of the original film. Officer K, a blade runner with the Los Angeles Police Department, stumbles during a routine assignment onto a secret that has lain hidden underground for years. What he finds is dangerous enough to tip what is left of an orderly society into chaos. His search for answers leads him to Rick Deckard, a former blade runner who disappeared thirty years earlier. Directed by Denis Villeneuve from a screenplay by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, the 164-minute 2017 film stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas and Robin Wright in an atmospheric science-fiction drama about identity and what it means to be human.
