Riverdale

A closer look at the story

Riverdale is a contemporary series that takes a daring, unconventional look at Archie, Betty, Veronica and their circle of friends. It is set in the small town of Riverdale, which from the outside seems calm, clean and thoroughly charming. Beneath that flawless surface, however, something very different is simmering, and the town turns out to be far darker and odder than it appears. The show explores the surreal side of small-town life through what these young people run into as they grow up in such an unusual place. Events that would strike visitors as bizarre are, for the people of Riverdale, simply part of an ordinary day. Created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, the series premiered on The CW in 2017 and ended after seven seasons and 137 episodes. KJ Apa plays Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart plays Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes plays Veronica Lodge, Cole Sprouse plays Jughead Jones and Madelaine Petsch plays Cheryl Blossom.
