One Night Only

A closer look at the story

One Night Only is set in a world with an unusual rule: on just one night a year, single people are permitted to sleep together. While every unattached person in the city is out looking for fun on this special night, two people are after something a little different. Owen has recently been dumped and is nursing a broken heart. Allie, despite everything, still believes in romance. They may well be the only singles in town who want more than a quick fling. The moment their paths cross, sparks fly. The night, however, does not go to plan. Misunderstandings and surprise detours keep driving them apart. Running towards each other one moment and away from each other the next as they move through the city streets, Owen and Allie start to realise that what they are searching for may be much closer than they think. Directed by Will Gluck and written by Travis Braun, this 103-minute 2026 romantic comedy stars Monica Barbaro as Allie and Callum Turner as Owen, with Maya Hawke and Molly Ringwald also in the cast.
