The Incredibles
The Incredibles: A retired hero gets back into costume
A closer look at the story
Bob Parr was once Mr. Incredible, a famous superhero who fought evil wherever he found it. Now he lives an ordinary life in the suburbs with his wife and their three children, spending his days on claims files at a dreary insurance company. His wife Helen was once a hero too. Growing more and more frustrated with this routine, Bob one day receives a mysterious message: a secret mission on a remote island. It is time to put the old suit back on. Written and directed by Brad Bird, the 115-minute 2004 animated film, voiced by Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell and Jason Lee, is a lively family superhero adventure.
